Company Theatre, resident theatre company at The Rose Centre in Belmont, started its 2023 season with a fantastic production of The History Boys by Alan Bennett last month. Seven local young actors (most currently at Takapuna Grammar School) clearly showed the depth of talented youth we have here on the Shore, and this, alongside the more seasoned expertise of the four experienced adult actors, resulted in a show of the highest quality. This tour de force was well directed by local Suzy Sampson and supported by her amazing behind-the-scenes crew. Company Theatre produces three theatrical works of the highest standards each year, and it all happens right here on our doorstep! Look out for their next production, Death of a Salesman by Arthur Miller, being staged in August later this year.
